U.M.C.O.R.
Sonrise Church supports U.M.C.O.R. (United Methodist Committee on Relief) which provides a vital ministry to people who have suffered devastation due to some sort of natural disaster. 100% of funds donated to UMCOR are used to supply the needed materials to put together cleaning buckets filled with supplies to help the massive clean-up efforts after flooding, tornados, hurricanes, etc.
UMCOR also trains volunteers to be efficient responders in a time of need, putting together teams ready to go into areas hit hard by disasters. Periodically, a training course will be held to prepare local volunteers, who will then be called upon in a time of crisis to help in various ways.
